The Hanoi backpackers hostel

My first night sleeping by myself and what a night. I was packed off to a mixed dorm and it turned out I am the only guy in the dorm. I have the top bunk in a room of 6 beds. The British girl below me has some terrible cold/flu sickness – just hoping it’s not contagious. I can here her snoring which is a bit different for me seeing as I usually do the snoring.

There’s a German girl, who returned last night to find her bed stripped and someone else’s stuff in it. So she hoped off in a huff to reception to demand her things and get her bed back.

There are two other girls who returned this morning about 8:00am which gave me a chance to discretely drop my keys and make about as much noise as possible while trying to exit the lions dens as quietly as possible. In the process I forgot my Wallet and am now contemplating starving versus heading back to the den of sleeping lionesses.

Maybe Blake will miraculously wake up and come downstairs… Or maybe he will continue to be absent from these adventures.

Did I mention how phenomenally hot and uncomfortable it was last night. I woke up soaked in my own sweat. Good feeling I’m sure it’s great for the skin as well.

I do so miss the Metropole, such luxury and comfort.

Actually there is still a person here (Adam) who was here when I was last here. We remembered each other from a certain night of drinking and snake rituals.
